What is Guppies?

The Hanford Piranhas Guppies is a program designed for young swimmers who possess the ability to swim but are not yet ready to compete with higher level athletes. Our coaches will help each child to learn to swim both freestyle and backstroke along with racing starts.

“Guppies” is NOT a swim school.  We will use what skills your child already possesses to enhance their swimming abilities. There is no age limit.

 This program is to prepare your swimmer to join the swim team in the future.

Is your child ready for Guppies?

•   Can your child leave the parent and get into the water willingly?

•    Can your child fully submerge their head in the water?

•    Can your child swim without a floatation device or without holding your hand?

•    Can your child follow directions?

•    Is your child willing to work in a group with other children?

Cost?

The cost is $150 per swimmer.  This covers coach fees, equipment, insurance and pool usage fees.
